Bio Statement

Irene Tami-Maury, DMD, DrPH, MSc, is an Instructor in the Department of Behavioral Science at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Tami-Maury conducts research on four specific areas: 1) tobacco prevention and control in vulnerable populations (e.g., people living with HIV/AIDS, individuals infected with tuberculosis, cancer patients, immigrants, LGBT individuals); 2) non-cigarette tobacco product use; 3) dentistry's role in cancer prevention, specifically tobacco control; and 4) web-based research and e-learning/training.
