Bio Statement

Emergency Medicine appeals to me because of relative instantaneous nature of treatment outcomes.  The emergency room is the initial point of contact for patients with acute illness and there is a potential to successfully diagnose and successfully treat a wide variety of maladies that affect patients.  Treating patients using the cutting edge technologies available to me at MD Anderson is very satisfying and working with the oncology staff who are the at the apex of their respective fields I find to be very satisfying.  Oncology faculty are highly responsive and familiar with their patients which makes collaboration almost effortless.  The quality of patients at MD Anderson is unlike that found in any other emergency center.  The patients are very frequently knowledgeable about their condition and their treatment and medical compliance is universally high.  These are some of the reasons that I enjoy my work in the emergency center at MD Anderson.
