Bio Statement

Dr. Jubilee Brown has been a faculty member in the Department of Gynecologic Oncology since 2002, when she completed her fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Brown sees patients within the Department of Gynecologic Oncology at M.D. Anderson, as well as running the M.D. Anderson satellite office at the Woman’s Hospital of Texas. By integrating care in both of these centers, she is able to offer women with gynecologic cancer and complex gynecologic surgical issues the optimal care in the most appropriate and desired setting.

 

Dr. Brown has focused her practice on providing comprehensive care for the patient with gynecologic cancer. She sees this journey as a partnership in care with the patient and her family, the referring physician, herself, and the team of caregivers in the health care setting. Dr. Brown is an expert in minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopic surgery and robotic-assisted laparoscopy), as she feels it is important to provide the best surgical option with the least disruption to the patient’s lifestyle. This has revolutionized the care of women over the last few years!

 

Dr. Brown is very active nationally and internationally, and is considered an expert in the field of rare tumors and minimally invasive surgery. She is active in the Gynecologic Oncology Group, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists, and holds national positions in many of these organizations.

 

Dr. Brown looks forward to partnering with each patient to make this a personalized journey with the best possible outcome for each individual.
