Bio Statement
As vice president for global clinical programs, Eduardo M. Diaz, Jr., MD, provides primary clinical oversight, direction, strategic planning and management of the development and delivery of clinical aspects of cancer care at locations beyond M. D. Anderson's main campus in the Texas Medical Center. In this capacity, he has traveled extensively throughout the world, including Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.
Diaz is a professor in the Department of Head and Neck Surgical Oncology and serves as medical liaison to M. D. Anderson-Espana through his position on the Board of Directors for Centro Oncologico M. D. Anderson Internacional-Espana.
Since joining M. D. Anderson's faculty in 1995, Diaz has fulfilled numerous roles in administration. Most recently, in addition to international programs, he served as chairman of the Medical Practices Subcommittee of the Medical Staff and served on the Executive Committee as well.
