About Dr. Manzullo
Ellen F. Manzullo, MD, FACP is a Professor in the Department of General Internal Medicine. She serves as the Deputy Division Head (Clinical) of Internal Medicine and the Deputy Department Chair (Clinical) of General Internal Medicine. Dr. Manzullo is also the Executive Director for Internal Medicine in the MD Anderson Cancer Network. Dr. Manzullo joined the faculty of MD Anderson Cancer Center upon completion of her internal medicine residency in 1989. As a general internist she has focused on the delivery of high quality internal medicine care to cancer patients and survivors.
Throughout her career, Dr. Manzullo has been committed to educational activities. Most recently she was instrumental in the development of the Baylor/MD Anderson Cancer Center Internal Medicine Residency Program which launched in 2015 and has been supported by an expansion grant from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. The goal of this program is to train the next generation of leaders in the internal medicine care of the cancer patient and survivor. Dr. Manzullo has lectured extensively to a variety of audiences including patients and she has also chaired or served on the planning committee of many conferences. Her publications throughout her career have been focused on oncologic emergencies, perioperative medicine, and cancer related fatigue. Dr. Manzullo's excellence has been recognized by her being named a US News Top Doctor, Castle Connolly Top Doctor, and America's Top Physician. In 2017, she was named a Castle Connolly Exceptional Woman in Medicine.
