Research Interests
Dr. Martel's current research interests are in radiation dose-response studies, outcome analysis and biological modeling. She is interested in normal tissue toxicity risk assessment in anatomical sites such as the thorax, head, and head and central nervous system. She is also interested in tumor control probability modeling. This work includes information from functional imaging, genetic information such as SNP's, and other biological information such as cytokines. Her research group is developing a novel program to treat advanced nonsmall cell lung cancer with personalized adaptive radiation.
