About Dr. Christopher Scally
Christopher Scally, M.D., M.S., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgical Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His clinical practice focuses on the care of patients with advanced soft-tissue sarcomas. Dr. Scally has particular interest in minimally invasive surgical approaches when appropriate, particularly in the treatment of Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GIST).
Dr. Scally received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery training at the University of Michigan, followed by a fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He also holds a Masters Degree in Healthcare Research from the University of Michigan, where he was a fellow in the Center for Healthcare Outcomes and Policy.

Clinical Interests
Dr. Scally cares for patients with soft tissue sarcomas both in the abdomen/retroperitoneum as well as truncal and extremity sarcomas. Dr. Scally has particular interest in minimally invasive surgical approaches when appropriate, particularly in the treatment of Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GIST).
