      About Dr. Effrosyni Apostolidou

Throughout my career I have had the opportunity and privilege to care for patients with malignant and non-malignant hematologic disorders alike. I have had several years of experience not only in managing patients with malignant and benign disorders of the blood, but also in participating as Co-PI in clinical trials, primarily Phase I trials of novel antileukemic agents, at MD Anderson. I have also led cohort studies related to patient outcomes in diverse patient populations. Over the last 2-3 years I have focused in Classical Hematology, seeing patients with cancer associated thrombotic and hemorrhagic disorders primarily, as well as hematologic complications of cancer treatments. In addition, I carry several leadership roles in administration, education and quality improvement
