About Dr. Mihai Gagea Iurascu
I am veterinary pathologist board-certified by The American College of Veterinary Pathologists and The American Board of Toxicology. My pathology experience consists of comparative and investigative pathology for cancer researches, drug discoveries, toxicity studies and safety assessment of preclinical drug development studies. I have performed extensive pathological characterization of genetically modified mice, xenograft and syngeneic mouse models of cancer, and other animal models of human diseases. I enjoy performing diagnostic investigations including gross and histopathologic examination of tissues, evaluation of hematology and clinical chemistry tests, and analysis of molecular diagnostic tests of experimented animals. I am especially interested about immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, histomorphometry and advance methods of digital image analyses of tissues. Every day, I expand my pathology expertise by collaborating with research teams and many investigators on a wide range of cancer and immunology researches, and early discovery and development of novel therapeutic agents.
