      About Dr. Zeyad A. Metwalli

      Dr. Zeyad Metwalli is an Associate Professor in the Department of Interventional Radiology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Metwalli earned his undergraduate degree in Bioengineering from Rice University and his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency at Baylor College of Medicine and an interventional radiology fellowship at Northwestern University's McGaw Medical Center. He joined the MD Anderson faculty in 2019 and maintains an active interventional radiology practice with clinical interests in liver-directed therapy and vascular interventions. Dr. Metwalli currently serves as the Interventional Radiology Department's Patient Safety Quality Officer. He is also actively involved in the Society of Interventional Radiology as well as the American College of Radiology.
