About Dr. Aaron Kyle Jones
A. Kyle Jones, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Imaging Physics at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. After earning his Ph.D. in Medical Physics from the University of Florida, he began his professional career at MD Anderson in the Radiological Physics Section, providing support to the radiography and fluoroscopy clinical operations. In 2008 he transitioned to supporting interventional radiology and interventional cardiology operations.

Dr. Jones has published over 70 peer-reviewed articles. In 2013 he won the American Association of Physicists in Medicine’s Farrington Daniels Award for the best paper on dosimetry published in Medical Physics, the journal of the association. He served as president of the Southwest Chapter of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine in 2012.
Dr. Jones regularly lectures at national and international conferences, has organized several conferences, served as faculty for hands-on workshops, and written several book chapters. He has mentored numerous clinical residents and fellows. He has worked as a collaborator on several grants funded by professional societies and industry, and is currently a collaborator on an NIH R01titled "Anatomical Modeling to Improve the Precision of Image Guided Liver Ablation."
