About Dr. Ali Haider
Dr. Ali Haider is an Internal Medicine specialist based in Houston, TX, with subspecialties in Hospice & Palliative Medicine, Hospital Medicine, and Pain Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Corewell Health - Grand Rapids/Michigan State University from 2007 to 2010, and a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at the University of Texas M D Anderson Cancer Center in 2014-2015. As an Associate Professor at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center since 2015, he has significant experience in cancer pain, electronic health records, and health communication. His published works focus on topics such as opioid prescriptions for cancer pain and patients' perceptions of naloxone and early-stage advance care planning. Dr. Haider has also been involved in clinical trials assessing patient perceptions of physician communication and professionalism. Since 2022, Dr. Haider is serving as a Medical Director for Supportive Care Center at University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
