About Dr. Anam Kesaria
Dr. Anam Kesaria is a radiation oncologist and Assistant Professor at MD Anderson Cancer Center, practicing at the Galveston campus. Over the past year, she has played a key role in the care of patients at UTMB Galveston, with a clinical focus on the treatment of breast and gynecologic malignancies. Her practice emphasizes personalized, evidence-based care with a strong commitment to improving the patient experience through empathy, communication, and innovation in care delivery.
Dr. Kesaria completed her residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), where she was awarded the Best Radiation Oncology Resident Award by the Arkansas Medical Society in 2024. She previously completed a surgical internship at Baylor College of Medicine and earned her medical degree from McGovern Medical School at UTHealth, where she was recognized for outstanding academic performance.
Dr. Kesaria is an active researcher and presenter, with publications and national conference presentations on topics such as virtual reality in radiation oncology training, social media use in brachytherapy, radiation toxicity, and health outcomes. She has received multiple research grants, including the Chancellor’s Circle Grant and two Auxiliary Research Grants from the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute.
