Research Interests
I am an Instructor in the department of Leukemia at MD Anderson Cancer Center. I have a broad background in bioinformatics, computational biology and machine learning, with specific training in high dimensional data analysis and machine learning on multi-omics data. My research interest focuses on application of integrative, multi-omics computational approaches/tools to understand the intrinsic and extrinsic factors associated with resistance to chemo- and immuno-therapy in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients. I leveraged computational approaches and multi-omics data including RNA, T- and B-cell receptor, and chromatin accessibility on bulk or single cell level to identify the interactions of leukemic cells with their microenvironment, emphasizing the role of IFN-γ and inflammation in therapeutic resistance pathways . I also worked on characterizing T cell dysfunctional states, define AML hierarchies and investigating inflammatory dynamics by high throughput proteomic profiling .
