About Dr. Roldan
Dr. Roldan earned his Medical degree from the University of Antioquia Medical School in his native country, Colombia. Then, he immigrated to the United States where he started his post graduate training in Internal Medicine at New York Medical College, New York, NY. After his second year of training in Internal Medicine, he elected to became an Emergency Medicine Resident at the same institution where he also served as a Chief Resident in 2000. After five years of training in New York City, he moved to Houston, Texas to practice academic Emergency Medicine at The University of Texas, Houston Health Sciences Center. Dr. Roldan’s career aspirations finally led him to the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, (MDACC) Houston, Texas where he completed two years of Fellowship training in Pain Medicine in 2016, and was appointed Assistant Professor in Pain Medicine later that year.
Dr. Roldan’s contributions to MDACC have been significant, in that he has increased research activity in the Department of Pain Medicine and is consistently seeking out innovative approaches to pain management. Dr. Roldan is passionate and has a true love to teach and help the medically underserved. His personal mission has been to help make quality healthcare accessible to all demographics. He is proud to serve at MD Anderson Cancer Center and is committed to improving pain care in all his patients.
