About Dr. Ketan Shah
Dr. Ketan Shah is anAssistant Professor in the Department of Interventional Radiology at MD Anderson. Dr. Shah received his undergraduate degree in Bioengineering at Rice University and his MD degree at Baylor College of Medicine. After a medicine internship at the University of Chicago, Dr. Shah returned to Baylor College of Medicine, where he completed his residency training in diagnostic radiology. He completed his fellowship training in Interventional Radiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. After spending four years as faculty at the University of Illinois in Chicago, Dr. Shah moved back home to Houston and started working at MD Anderson in 2022.
Dr. Shah’s clinical and research interests include applying minimally invasive, image-guided intervention for local tumor control and symptom palliation in cancer patients. This includes liver directed therapies, venous thrombectomy, kidney ablation, portal hypertension management, and spine interventions.
