Mark A. Bailey, M.A.
School of Health Professions, Division of Chief Academic Officer
About Dr. Mark A. Bailey
My thirty-plus years in research histopathology and instruction for biology and histotechnology students has been an exceptional experience in my life. I have encouraged the continuous improvement of providing excellence in the day-to-day operation of the clinical laboratories in which students and histologic professionals perform accurate diagnostic laboratory testing. For my research interests, I have developed quality assured workflow procedures in clinical histopathology laboratories throughout sub-Saharan Africa. In collaboration, with my colleagues in Zambia and the United States, we performed a clinical study on metastatic breast cancer cases to improve surgical pathology intraoperative diagnostic processes to ensure timely adjuvant cancer therapy for patients living in low-resource countries.
