About Dr. Michael W. Riben
I am currently a Professor (clinical track) in the Department of Pathology and I have been at MD Anderson for 17 years. I am boarded in three specialties including Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Cytopathology. I plan to sit for the inaugural Medical Informatics Board certification exam in September of this year. My main clinical practice and interest is Cytology and Medical Informatics. My research focus includes pathology informatics, digital pathology, next generation imaging technology, vocabulary/ ontology development and usage and clinical analytics.
