About Dr. Nagham Al-Zubidi
Dr. Nagham Al-Zubidi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Methodist Hospital. Dr. Al-Zubidi is a dual-trained ophthalmologist and board certified neurologist with a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology from the Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology Fellowship Compliance Committee (AUPO FCC.) Her research lies in ocular oncology and optic nerve disorders, specializing in optic nerve tumors, immune therapy and checkpoint inhibitors. Dr. Al-Zubidi has published over 35 peer reviewed publications, more than 40 book chapters, and authored a book entitled “Questions and Answers in Neuro-ophthalmology: A Case-Based Approach.” She is a member of the North America Neuro-Ophthalmology Society (NANOS,) American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO,) American Academy of Neurology (AAN,) Houston Ophthalmological Society (HOS) and Houston Ophthalmology Women (HOW.) Dr. Al-Zubidi has been recognized as a recipient of the Award Institute of International Scholar Rescue Fund, the Excellence in Patient Care Award from Al-Yarmuk Teaching Hospital and the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence from the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies.
