About Dr. Nita Kommula
Dr. Nita Kommula completed her diagnostic radiology residency training at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas prior to completing a Women's Imaging combined breast and body fellowship at Virginia Commonweath University (VCU) in Richmond, Virginia. She subsequently worked in private practice prior to joining MD Anderson Cancer Center as an assistant professor in the breast imaging department in 2025. Dr. Kommula is a board certified radiologist who is proficient in all aspects of breast imaging and interventions.
