Noah C. Peeri, PhD, MPH
Department of Health Disparities Research, Division of Cancer Prevention and Population Sciences
About Dr. Noah Peeri
Noah C Peeri, PhD, MPH, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Disparities at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He earned his doctorate in epidemiology from University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in cancer epidemiology and health disparities at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Peeri studies risk factors to guide primary prevention efforts for endometrial, colorectal, and pancreatic cancers. He leads studies investigating disparities in endometrial cancer survival and is developing population-specific tools to inform shared-decision making and improve outcomes for Black women, who have poorer prognosis than women of other racial groups. Dr. Peeri also works to understand cancer etiology in Africa to develop evidence-based prevention strategies. A growing focus of his research examines the role of environmental chemical exposures in cancer health disparities. Dr. Peeri's research is funded by the National Cancer Institute.
