About Dr. Chaftari
Dr. Patrick Chaftari is an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, he is also the Clinical Medical Director of the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU), Chair of the institution Unitization Review and is a staff physician in the Emergency Center. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and joined MD Anderson in 2009. Additionally, Dr. Chaftari obtained a strategic MBA from the University of Houston and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physician (ABQAURP) with a Physician Advisor certification (CHCQM-PHYADV). HCQM certification demonstrates that Diplomates have the practical knowledge and the tools that can reduce medical errors, ensure patient safety, eliminate waste and unnecessary services, while avoiding potentially harmful delays in care.
