About Dr. Rizwan Aslam
Rizwan Aslam, MBChB, is a Professor of Diagnostic Imaging at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Aslam received his MBChB from the University of Aberdeen Medical School, Scotland, UK in 1991. He completed his residency in radiology and internal medicine in the United Kingdom. His fellowship was completed at the University of California, San Francisco in the Abdominal Imaging Department where he continued on as faculty in the Abdominal Imaging and Musculoskeletal Sections at the University of California from 2003 until 2015.
Dr. Aslam’s research emphasizes in abdominal imaging; he has continued to pursue his interest in the technique of virtual colonoscopy. Currently his interest are the utilization of newer MRI contrast agents for evaluating the liver and abdominal vasculature.
