About Dr. Sagar Dhamne
I am an Anatomic Pathologist with expertise in Breast diseases and Breast cancer. Within the breast lesions my clinical interests are papillary lesions of the breast, and radiology-pathology correlation, especially focusing how MRI breast findings correlate with histology findings. As a research scientist I am interested in elucidating molecular underpinnings of early stages of breast cancer especially DCIS and application of new emerging technologies like AI to the field of pathology. I frequently collaborate with clinical colleagues in clinical trial protocols focusing in treatment of hormone receptor positive breast carcinomas. I am also involved in the trainee education and serve on intra-departmental educational committees. I am the Chair of the Residents’ and Fellows’ Seminar committee at the Texas Society of Pathologists (TSP) entrusted with encouraging and furthering pathology education in Texas. I strongly advocate for the field of pathology being a Delegate representing the State of Texas in the College of American Pathologists (CAP) House of Delegate.
