About Dr. Shorook Na'ara
Dr. Shorook Naara is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Naara is a head and neck surgical oncologist with clinical expertise in oral cavity cancer, oropharyngeal cancer, transoral robotic surgery (TORS), cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, and endocrine surgery.
Dr. Naara’s research interests focus on translational immuno-oncology and tumor microenvironment biology in head and neck and skin cancers. Her work integrates spatial and single-cell technologies to study mechanisms of immunotherapy response and resistance, biomarker discovery, and immunoprevention strategies in oral potentially malignant disorders.
