About Dr. Yuan-Mao Lin
Dr. Yuan-Mao Lin is an interventional radiologist at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He earned his medical degree from National Yang-Ming University in Taipei, Taiwan, and completed his residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, where he also received additional fellowship training in Abdominal Radiology. He subsequently joined MD Anderson Cancer Center as a research fellow in Interventional Radiology, followed by clinical fellowship training in Interventional Radiology and Abdominal Imaging. His combined training in diagnostic imaging, interventional radiology, and oncologic imaging has provided him with a broad foundation in image-guided cancer therapy and abdominal oncology.
Dr. Lin’s academic and research interests focus on interventional oncology, with an emphasis on improving the precision and assessment of minimally invasive cancer therapies. His academic work has been recognized with multiple honors, including the RSNA R&E Foundation Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award, the RSNA Honored Educator Award, and the Radiology: Imaging Cancer Editor’s Recognition Award. His long-term research goal is to integrate advanced imaging, computational methods, and image-guided interventions to improve procedural precision, treatment assessment, and clinical outcomes for patients undergoing minimally invasive cancer therapies
